Welcome to K-4!

Hi, my name is Amy McCleskey and I am starting my 18th year in education. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, and Life Skills. The kindergarten year is full of change and growth. Every day in kindergarten holds new adventures and experiences and I am thrilled to share these moments with your child! Please know how sincere and passionate I am about caring for your sweet little one. This year I hope to open their eyes to the wonderful world of education and build a solid foundation and love for learning that will serve them the rest of their academic career.
I am married to my wonderful husband of 17 years. He is a junior high school History teacher. We have
two sons that keep us very busy. Ryan is in the 6th grade and Camden is in 1st grade.
Along with our human babies we also have two four-legged babies...our dogs Skye and Callie. I tell lots of stories in class about all of our babies throughout the year.
In my spare time I enjoy going on vacations with my family (We travel a lot!), hiking, snow skiing, scrapbooking, and spending time with my family. We love being outdoors!
I am so excited for a new year in Kindergarten and what this year will hold. It will be the best year yet!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
