Welcome to K-4!
Hi, my name is Amy McCleskey and I am starting my 16th year in education. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, and Life Skills. The kindergarten year is full of change and growth. Every day in kindergarten holds new adventures and experiences and I am thrilled to share these moments with your child! Please know how sincere and passionate I am about caring for your sweet little one. This year I hope to open their eyes to the wonderful world of education and build a solid foundation and love for learning that will serve them the rest of their academic career.
I am married to my wonderful husband of 15 years. He is a high school History teacher. We have
two sons that keep us very busy. Ryan is in the 4th grade and Camden is 4 years old.
Along with our human babies we also have four four-legged babies...our dogs Peepers, Skye and Callie and a hamster named Peanut. And we have three hermit crabs named Climber, Austin and Goldie. I tell lots of stories in class about all of our babies throughout the year.
In my spare time I enjoy going on vacations with my family (We travel a lot!), hiking, snow skiing, scrapbooking, playing softball with my husband and spending time with my family. We love being outdoors!
I am so excited for a new year in Kindergarten and what this year will hold. 2018-2019 will be the best year yet!
